Art Fund Collection of Middle Eastern Photography (2012)

Various, 1997–2011

© Nermine Hammam

These works build on the success of the Art Fund Collection of Middle Eastern Photography at the V&A and the British Museum, which was acquired in 2009 and 2010. These new works are featured in 'Light from the Middle East: New Photography', the first major museum exhibition of contemporary Middle Eastern photography. This will be followed by a national and international tour. The Art Fund has given the two museums grants over £150,000 for the collection and additional support for the tour of the collection.
