Anthropomorphic pendant

Unknown artist, c. 560–600

The pendant appears to be of a religious iconographic nature and could be interpreted as a Talismanic piece, probably meant to represent an Anglo-Saxon deity. Worn on a chain around the neck, they presumably leant some form of protection to the wearer.
