Part of a collection of medals struck to commemorate the victory of Admiral Vernon at Portobello in the Panama Peninsula, with Commodore Brown and only six ships. Variety of designs, generally with Admiral Vernon and sometimes also Commodore Brown and 6 ships. Includes 18 silver medals; 41 'normal metal' medals; 60 medals swapped for better examples; 2 more sent at a later date.
