A Pair Of Terrestrial And Celestial Pocket Globes
Dudley Adams, 1784

Produced by the son of cartographer George Adams, these intricate pocket-sized globes acquired by Herschel House and Museum offer a summary of both terrestrial and celestial knowledge as it stood in the late eighteenth century. The globes have been connected to Herschel via the impression of his own 20ft telescope on the interior of their case.
