This group of 8 watercolours and drawings of European subjects forms part of an important public gift in the memory of Lady Sadler by Sir Michael Sadler, a member of the Executive Committee of the Art Fund in 1931. It takes the form of a collection of pictures and drawings, together with some objects of Oriental art. 1) Castel Gandolfo by Cozens (main illustration; 2) Rome by Turner; 3) Gitano family by John; 4) Rue Ste Catherine by Sickert previously title Dieppe; 5) Breton peasant by Lamb; 6) Toledo by Bauer; 7-8) Landscapes by Alexander Cozens.
