    Helen Mirren in Elizabeth I

This two-part series focuses on Elizabeth's relationship with her confidant and advisor, the Earl of Leicester, and explores the gruesome, botched beheading of Mary Queen of Scots and the war with Spain.

You are ambitious and possessed of both quick wit and conviction. The loyalty of your friends is incredibly important to you so you find it difficult to forgive any breach of trust. You are emotionally guarded, but in the right company you are not afraid reveal your softer, sillier side.

Cate Blanchett in Elizabeth: The Golden Age

This is a sequel to the 1998 film Elizabeth, directed by Shekhar Kapur. The film focuses on events during the latter part of Queen Elizabeth I’s reign and explores threats to the throne, romance and subterfuge.

You are smart, tenacious and will go great lengths to defend your beliefs. You draw strength from challenges and meet any in your path head on. You are keenly aware of your surroundings and are quick to sense the mood of a room. You are the friend your friends can count on.

    Miranda Richardson in Blackadder II

Richardson played a childish Queen Elizabeth I in Blackadder II. The series follows Edmund, Lord Blackadder, and his attempts to win the favour of Queenie.

You are loveable but childish and slightly unhinged. You are unapologetic about your tastes and do not suffer fools lightly. You’re the last to be picked as a guest to a smart dinner party, but always, always first pick for the after party.

    Quentin Crisp in Orlando

Sally Potter’s film Orlando is based on Virginia Woolf’s novel of the same name. The time-bending film begins in the Elizabethan era and stars Tilda Swinton as the young, androgynous Orlando and Quentin Crisp as the mysterious Elizabeth I.

You are wise, enigmatic and potentially clairvoyant. You are a complete nonconformist and take no heed of society’s expectations of you – friends initially find you are bizarre, but come to think fondly of you. You are unusually perceptive, kind and generous of heart.
