Video: Katie Adie on Lee Miller: A Woman's War

Journalist Kate Adie examines the career of the pioneering Second World War photographer who was able to bring to light the key role of women in the conflict.

Working as an official war correspondent for Vogue, Lee Miller captured field hospitals in Normandy, concentration camps in Dachau and even the inside of Hitler’s apartment. IWM London celebrates her incredible contribution to documenting the conflict, particularly the prominence she gave to the efforts of women. On loan from the Lee Miller Archive, many of the photographs are displayed in public for the first time.

Lee Miller: Women at War is on at IWM London until 24 April 2016. 50% off with a National Art Pass.
