Which Audrey Hepburn character are you?

  • Find your inner-Audrey

Audrey Hepburn is one of cinema's most recognisable stars; she's played a nun, a princess and a Russian aristocrat among others, but which of Hepburn's iconic characters are you?

The National Portrait Gallery pays homage to this great actress with a display of over 70 photographic portraits by some of the 20th Century's leading photographers such as Richard Avedon and Cecil Beaton.

  • You're...

Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Oh golly gee, damn! Breakfast at Tiffany's is probably Audrey Hepburn's most iconic screen performance. A young girl-about-town socialite chases after rich men, big tips and a better life for herself and her brother, Fred while living in New York. She reluctantly falls for the handsome writer who has moved in upstairs.

You're very stylish, ambitious and probably a little eccentric. You may or may not know a man called Sally Tomato.

    You are...

    Jo Stockton from Funny face

S'wonderful! Audrey Hepburn played book-seller-turned-model in Funny Face opposite Fred Astaire. A high-brow intellectual, Jo Stockton reluctantly signs a modelling contract after she is spotted in the background of some fashion-shoot stills.

You have a strong sense of self and an individual style that shines through the crowds. And you may or may not have a funny face.

    You are...

    Princess Ann from Roman Holiday

Your Royal Highness! Audrey Hepburn played Princess Ann opposite Gregory Peck in this 1953 romantic comedy, and much like the princess at the end of the film, she never looked back. Roman Holiday made Hepburn a multi-award winning actress and catapulted her into fame so quickly that Hepburn’s own experiences mirrored those of Princess Ann.

You are an adventurer; making the most of opportunities and chance encounters.

    You are...

Eliza Doolittle from My Fair Lady

Cor blimey, you squashed cabbage leaf! Audrey Hepburn played Eliza alongside Rex Harrison in the film version of the hit musical starring Julie Andrews. A snobbish professor takes a wager that he could turn a Cockney flower girl into a lady. Through sheer determination, Eliza learns to speak and act with grace and good manners.

You are driven, highly personable and, of course, fair.

Audrey Hepburn: Portraits of an Icon is at the National Portrait Gallery until 16 October, 50% off with National Art Pass.
