One of the most exciting exhibitions of the season is about to open at the Whitechapel Gallery; Adventures of the Black Square: Abstract Art and Society 1915 – 2015 brings together the key contributors of geometric abstract art from the past 100 years to give a comprehensive survey of the movement. Works from 80 modern and contemporary artists including Carl Andre, Dan Flavin, Piet Mondrian, Gabriel Orozco and Aleksander Rodchenko chart how the movement spread across the globe into Asia, the US and Latin America.
