Video: The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014

Fashion writer Penny Martin presents an introduction to the V&A's stunning new exhibition.

From Simonetta, Pucci and Gucci, to Missoni, Armani, Prada and Versace, Italy's leading fashion houses are brought dazzlingly together in the V&A's new exhibition, The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014.

The exhibition brings together 100 items of clothing and accessories, charting the history of Italian fashion over the last six decades. Special focus is given to the classic Hollywood films that were shot on location in Italy during the 1950s and '60s, which saw stars like Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor became style ambassadors for the nation.

In our exclusive video, fashion writer Penny Martin (Editor of The Gentlewoman) presents her highlights of the show.

The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014 is at the V&A, London, from 5 April to 27 July 2014. Get 50% off entry with the National Art Pass.
