- 3 January 2014
Win tickets to see a preview screening of Steve McQueen's acclaimed new film at Tate Modern.
12 Years a Slave is based on an incredible true story of one man's fight for survival and freedom. In the pre-Civil War United States, Solomon Northup (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a free black man from upstate New York, is abducted and sold into slavery. Solomon struggles not only to stay alive, but to retain his dignity. The film was directed by Turner Prize-winning artist Steve McQueen, and co-stars Michael Fassbender and Brad Pitt.
Tate Modern is holding a preview screening at the Starr Auditorium on Wednesday 8 January at 6.30pm, and we've got two pairs of tickets to give away.
