Whether you're an art-loving Android user or seeking inspiration on your iPad, we've chosen our favourite art apps for the holiday season.

1. Grayson Perry: The Vanity of Small Differences
£1.99 – iPhone, iPad

Get up close and personal with the Vanity of Small Differences, the tapestry series that was recently bought by the Arts Council Collection and British Council with help from the Art Fund. Get new masterpieces delivered to your phone every day, from Vermeers to Van Goghs. Every morning, DailyArt notifies you that there's a new work of art ready to discover, complete with a biography of the artist and information about the piece itself.
