From handcrafted porcelain bowls to framed prints by Dame Paula Rego, the Art Fund has a range of gifts for serious art aficionados. If you're looking to buy something special this Christmas, look no further than our five gifts for art lovers.
As ever, all proceeds help acquire great art for British museums and galleries!
Give a gift that lasts all year by buying a National Art Pass gift box. Our exclusive gift boxes include a National Art Pass (expiring 31 December 2012), our 2012 guide of museums and galleries, the latest issue of our magazine Art Quarterly, and a choice of four prints of ArtFunded works. Gift boxes for two (£80) and under-26s (£35) are also available.
Each year the Art Fund commissions an artist to create a 'brushstroke', a unique piece of art available exclusively from the Art Fund shop. This year Dame Paula Rego adds her distinctive brushtroke Pregnant One to our collection, printed on white velvet with an oak frame.
Signed by author and Art Fund trustee Christopher Lloyd, this beautifully presented hardback explores 266 masterpieces from British collections, with short biographies of each artist and histories of the museums or galleries which host the works.
4. ARTIST ROOMS sketchbooks
Each of these three handmade sketchbooks is embossed with a different Robert Mapplethorpe photograph from the ARTIST ROOMS collection: Frogs, Grace Jones and Lowell Smith.
5. Porcelain bowl
This porcelain bowl is a handcrafted design by Janet Stahelin Edmondson, a ceramicist with a rich family history in Europe's fashion, fabric and textile industry. Her porcelain is finely textured with intricate patterns taken from antique lace.
