The British Museum has been crowned 'Museum of the Year' and scooped the 2011 Art Fund Prize and to celebrate we're giving away an exciting day out for two.

To celebrate the British Museum being crowned ‘Museum of the Year’ and winning the 2011 Art Fund Prize, we’re giving away an exciting day out for two. Enter our giveaway and you could win two tickets to the British Museum’s stunning new Treasures of Heaven blockbuster exhibition, plus dinner for two including a glass of champagne at the British Museum’s Court Restaurant.

Treasures of Heaven: Saints, Relics and Devotion in Medieval Europe explores the cult of relics through a jaw-dropping array of objects from across Europe including three thorns allegedly from the Crown of Thorns, fragments of the True Cross and the breast milk of the Virgin Mary.

Entry to the prize draw will close on Wednesday 29 June, 5 pm. Only one email per person will be counted.

About the prize

The Treasures of Heaven exhibition closes on 9 October 2011. The Court Restaurant is only open on Friday evenings and the exhibition operates on a timed entry system. Subject to availability, the winner would be allocated a 5pm exhibition view and expect to be in the restaurant by 6.30pm (last seating is at 7pm). The Restaurant and Museum close at 8.30pm.
