Art Fund jewellery range picked by top curators - available now

  • 11 October 2010

We have teamed up with two successful British curators to create a unique collection of jewellery by leading contemporary makers.

All proceeds made from sales will go directly towards supporting our cause, helping us buy inspiring works of art for museums and galleries across the UK.

James Beighton, curator at mima Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art, and Kate Gillespie, curator at Aberdeen Art Gallery, have selected pieces by the following jewellers:

  • Hannah Louise Lamb, a silversmithing graduate from the Royal College of Art, inspired by decorative motifs taken from vintage wallpaper patterns and everyday iconic imagery.
  • Elsie Owl, who makes jewellery inspired by the lost and the found, museum and reliquary.
  • Erin Daly, whose pieces are influenced by plant forms and geometric shapes.
  • Kaz Robertson, who uses magnets and resin to create pieces that can be manipulated by the wearer.

James Beighton and Kate Gillespie curated this exclusive collection in recognition of our role in bringing contemporary craft to UK museums and galleries. Both curators are previous winners of Art Fund Collect, an innovative funding scheme we run jointly with the Crafts Council.
