Coinciding with the Hayward Gallery’s 50th anniversary, Art Night 2018’s ambitious programme is curated by the gallery’s director Ralph Rugoff and takes place along the Thames, at the Southbank Centre, through Vauxhall and Nine Elms and around Battersea Power Station.

Participating artists include Halil Altındere, Vajiko Chachkhiani, Jeremy Deller, Cécile B. Evans, Lara Favaretto, Yuan Goang-Ming, Anthea Hamilton, Tamara Henderson, Prem Sahib, Marinella Senatore, Liv Wynter and Miao Ying.

Your chance to be an Art Night Guide

Art Fund is a supporter of Art Night, and we’re looking for students or recent graduates who are passionate about sharing contemporary art with the world to become volunteer guides.

As an Art Night Guide, you’ll receive professional training to help you guide visitors around these exceptional sites, from 6pm-late, teasing out the artistic and historical facts that make the experience accessible and unforgettable for everyone attending.

We’re aiming to make this year’s training particularly interpretation-oriented so that you can learn skills that will be useful throughout your career.

We’ll provide refreshments throughout your training and on the night itself, and take care of travel expenses up to £12 per day for those based in London, and up to £30 for those based further afield.

As a token of our thanks, you’ll also receive an Art Night tote bag and a private view of the installations before everyone else. We will host evening training sessions depending on the works of art you have chosen between 11 and 22 June 2018.
