From postcards and tote bags to a limited-edition print, we have a brilliant selection of exclusive rewards available to our donors. Let’s take a look at two of the rewards in more detail.
We are offering you the opportunity to meet one of the world’s leading experts in historical fashion.
Timothy Long, curator of fashion and decorative arts and Melina Plottu, textile conservator from the Museum of London, will be providing guests with an opportunity to learn all about 18th and 119th-century fashion, in particular, the trends that were so popular in the Pleasure Gardens of London. They will be talking about the various challenges involved in conserving these 150-250 year-old garments and accessories and give you a sneak preview of what’s to come when the Pleasure Gardens reopens in March 2018.
If that isn’t enough, we are also offering the ultimate VIP Experience to really get to know the London Fashion Collection.
With only three available, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit behind-the-scenes and to have the exclusive opportunity to get up close with our 22,000 item collection in the dress & textiles store. You will also have the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of A-list actors and actresses as we visit Jane ‘the hat’ Smith’s studio. Jane is a world-renowned hat maker for the stars! Then finally you will be able to be one of the first people to see the new display as we open the museum after hours for a VIP late event.
