Over the past few weeks we have really enjoyed sharing the story of Scottish weaver and pop artist Archie Brennan as we believe a major exhibition of his work is long overdue. It turns out many of you agree, and we have exceeded our target with 15 days to go! But can you help us go even further?
If we can raise £30,000 we will be able to seek out more of Archie Brennan’s masterpieces and bring them to his native Scotland for the first time. As Archie travelled extensively throughout his career from Papua New Guinea to North America where he spent the last 30 years of his life, everything he made from 1985 onward is in public and private collections abroad. We want to bring these key tapestries together for the first time to give an unprecedented insight into the work of one of Scotland’s greatest weavers and unrecognised pop artists.
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, your support is greatly appreciated and you can help us even more by spreading the word to help us reach 150%, plus get some amazing rewards in the process.
