Thank you so much to all of our donors so far, we are immensely grateful for your support for our Saving Samson campaign.
As a thank you for helping to bring Samson to the Museum of Norwich, we are offering some wonderful rewards, including exclusive artwork, designed especially for this campaign by local printmaker Leanda Jaine Hughes.
As thanks for donating £100, Leanda’s funky hand-embossed print of the outside of the building shows the iconic statues in place and is a must for anyone who remembers drinking and dancing at ‘The Samson’. It would make a perfect gift or just a treat to yourself! Leanda will be producing a limited number, so only those who donate to the campaign will be proud owners of the signed, framed print.
For £200.00 you will not only receive this superb limited edition print but also get the chance to celebrate with Samson, and with us, as he steps into the limelight once more, at his own special opening night at the Museum of Norwich. Includes two tickets. Date to be confirmed.
And if you’re a fan of Leanda Jaine’s work, have you seen the lovely linocut she made of Samson’s revealed carved face? Inspired by the carving tradition which created our 17th-century Biblical wonder, Leanda got to work sketching and cutting and has recreated Samson’s beautiful features in a linocut. For just £60, a framed laser etched illustration and orange tote bag can be yours. These are both limited editions and will be a reminder of your part in saving Norwich's city icon.
As the campaign enters the fifth and penultimate week, we urgently need your help to hit our £15,000 target. If we don’t raise the total amount needed, we will not be able to permanently display Samson and he will return to our off-site store.
Can you help us Save Samson? Please share with anyone you think might like to help. The campaign closes on the 22 March.
