Reward highlight: Peter Kent print

26/08/2016

Specially made for this campaign, Kent’s work depicts the arch in its complexity and glory while maintaining his trademark sketch style.

A Greenwich local, Peter Kent is well-known in the area for his lively sketches of Greenwich's landscape and everyday life. His pen sketches, coloured with deftly applied watercolour washes, reveal hidden details and insights into the landscape of Greenwich and its environs.

His works – often large-scale – cross the boundaries between landscape and cartography, while retaining a strong element of personal experience. His 2015 sketch of the entire Greenwich and Docklands area, The Birth of London’s Newest City, is the culmination of 50 years as a resident of the area, and charts the development in a spectacular aerial view.

This sketch, created exclusively for the Old Royal Naval College’s crowdfunding campaign, is the perfect way to commemorate your support.

There are many other great rewards for donors – donate and choose yours today!
