5 Reasons to help us build The Colour Palace

Celebrating the Community: We want everyone to be able to enjoy The Colour Palace, that's why it will be free and open to all; a lively space where everyone is invited to relax, create and be inspired. Influenced by the colourful streets of Peckham, where Pricegore architects are based, the buzzing markets of Lagos in Nigeria, as well as Sir John Soane's pioneering design for Dulwich Picture Gallery, The Colour Palace is a celebration of London's multiculturalism.

A Chance to Grow: Through The Colour Palace, we want to provide a space for people to grow creatively through new artistic experiences. In 2017, 40% of the visitors that attended our summer Pavilion were at Dulwich Picture Gallery for the first time, and we hope to continue this effort to provide a new way for the community to access art outside of the Gallery's walls.

Buzzing Events Programme: The Colour Palace will provide a much-needed space for learning and community activities, including talks and special Late events, workshops and more. Focussing on providing accessible and inclusive programming, we will open up discussions about what it means to be a Londoner today, the importance of architecture and space on our wellbeing, and celebrating multiculturalism. Events will include a family festival, artmaking workshops and panel discussions – still to be announced!

Receive Something Brilliant: By donating you’ll be a part of The Colour Palace journey. As a thank you, we offer bespoke rewards reflecting the bold and colourful vision of The Colour Palace, including limited addition sketches from Pricegore architects and designer Yinka Ilori.

Summer Destination: We asked one of our young volunteers, Ellie (who helped judge the Pavilion competition), to tell us why building The Colour Palace is important to her:

"It’s a fun social place, and a break from everyday life. To appreciate being outside in the summertime - but also good to support emerging architects and other creatives."

Every single donation puts us closer to making The Colour Palace a reality. Thank you for your ongoing support!
