Life in Squares tells the story of Vanessa Bell and her relationship with some of the key members of the Bloomsbury group including her sister, the writer Virginia Woolf, and the artist Duncan Grant. Taking its title from the famous quote (that is attributed to Dorothy Parker); that the Bloomsbury set ‘lived in squares, painted in circles and loved in triangles’, Life in Squares looks at the group as they aspired to create a distinctive lifestyle and dedicate their lives to creative and sexual freedom.
Partly filmed at Charleston, the drama reflects the continuing public interest in this extraordinary group of innovative people. Come and see Bell and Grant's home for yourself and help protect its future by donating now. Thank you.
