Discover an artist using contemporary media to push language beyond its limits.
Spanning performance, writing, graphic design, video, and sound, Nora Turato’s first solo exhibition in the UK interrogates how words shape our reality.
At the core of Turato’s work are her ‘text pools’ – collections of language drawn from media, advertising, books, conversations and online content. In the exhibition, she incorporates her own writing with works of art that unfold across text-covered walls, short documentary videos and an audio installation.
In the final weeks, Turato will present a live performance, pushing language to its limits, abandoning scripted structure to incorporate raw, instinctive sounds – cries, screams and sobs.
