Never-before-seen items and works of art reveal personal side of Raymond Briggs.
In conjunction with the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration’s touring exhibition, Raymond Briggs: A Retrospective, this new exhibition provides a highly personal glimpse into the life and legacy of Raymond Briggs through 30 items from the late author´s estate and over 100 original works of art from his 60-year career.
Featured works include The Snowman and Father Christmas, alongside his drawings, hand-lettered typography and page designs from his earliest commissions to his 2004 book The Puddleman. Additionally, Briggs’ own writing and drawing desk, which he used for over 40 years, will be on display.
