Exhibition

Camden Town to Garden City: work by Gilman, Gore and Ratcliffe

9 March - 30 June 2024

Major exhibition of paintings by three members of famous Camden Town Group

Marvel at the vivid paintings and drawings by Harold Gilman, Frederick Spencer Gore, and William Ratcliffe from the Camden Town Group, who worked in Letchworth before the First World War, in this major exhibition with loans from Tate, the Government Art Collection, and the National Museum Wales, with support from Art Fund's Weston Loan Programme.

Letchworth is the world's first Garden City, and the exhibition focuses on the artists' paintings they produced there at the start of the twentieth century. This will be the first time lots of these works are shown in the area, since they were made over a century ago.
