Poetry and sculpture collide in this exhibition of international artists, exploring connections between the visual and the verbal.
This international group exhibition unpacks the pursuit of poetry by sculptural means, with artists and writers displaying works alongside each other to explore the profound connections between the plastic and linguistic qualities of words.
With outcomes ranging from haunting to humorous, the list of artists includes Caroline Bergvall, Shilpa Gupta, Issam Kourbaj, Mark Manders, Slavs and Tatars, Tim Etchells, Emma Hart, Leslie Hewitt and Joo Yeon Park. Each use the weight, scale and context of their works to expand the imaginative potential of what is shaped, and what is left behind, in the name of poetry.
