EVENT CANCELLED - Collection Conversation: Gordon Faulds & Alex Faulkner

6 December 2025
2PM-3.30PM
Free to all

Join us for December's installment of our free series of art talks.

In our final Collection Conversation of 2025, we'll be joined by Gordon Faulds and Alex Faulkner.

Artist and poet Alex Faulkner studied at the Bath Academy of Art, Corsham. While a student at Corsham, Faulkner was taught by Ed Whittaker, Peter Kinley, and Adrian Heath, and assisted in the studios of Howard Hodgkin and Michael Kidner. He later worked in design before returning to painting and taking up printmaking.

Gordon Faulds studied Visual Communication at the Bath Academy of Art, Corsham, and believes his time there to have been hugely influential, broadening his cultural awareness and shaping his future thinking. He now works across multiple disciplines including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, film, and installation, exploring cycles and forces before and beyond the present.

You can view their work in an upcoming exhibition at the Pound Arts Centre, Corsham. Alongside Jane Turner and Carole Pearson, 'Corsham Air: Myth and Material' reflects their time spent in Corsham over the past fifty years. The exhibition runs from Saturday 8 November to Saturday 6 December.
