Contemporary Perspectives on Hodgkin: A Panel Discussion with Shanay Jhaveri (Head of Visual Arts, Barbican Art Gallery) and artist Hannah Perry

Join Shanay Jhaveri, Head of Visual Arts at the Barbican, and artist Hannah Perry for a discussion exploring Howard Hodgkin’s continuing influence on contemporary art and culture.

Jhaveri will reflect on his experience curating Hodgkin’s work and the artist’s deep connection to India and cross-cultural exchange, while Perry will discuss how Hodgkin’s use of colour, emotion, and memory has shaped her own practice.

Together, they will offer new insights into the legacy of one of Britain’s most celebrated painter and printmaker, and how his work continues to resonate with artists today.
