Play Camp: Parallel Panorama Universe

26 - 27 July 2025
1-4pm
Free to all

Imagine a parallel Edinburgh in this two-day summer camp for kids - creations will feature in our gallery installation.

Join Lead Play Artist Frieda Ford in an extra special two-day summer art camp. Working with our Panorama presentation of Robert Barker's 1788 Panorama of Edinburgh from Calton Hill, we will be imagining what it would be like to live in Edinburgh with an imaginative twist. We will be creating our own parallel Edinburgh by making costumes and inventive landmarks. These creations will be added to our wider Parallel Panorama Universe installation in Hillside Gallery.

Day 1 will be focussed on exploring and making, and Day 2 will include an exhibition and celebration of participants work. Please note it is important to attend both afternoons to participate fully in the activities. The workshops are designed for primary aged children, but we will provide additional activities for younger participants. The workshops are held outside so please arrive dressed for the weather.

Each free ticket accounts for 1 child and their guardian, and parents and carers must stay to supervise your child.
