Short for a magazine or fanzine, produce your own 'zine' using your own original work and a collage of found images and text.
What is a zine? Short for a magazine or fanzine, a zine is produced in small batches using your own original work and a collage of found images and text. Come along and discover the importance of 'zines' and their impact on pop culture, social movements and communities since the 1930s. Design and create your own zine - it can be about ANYTHING you like, from your favourite musician or art movement, to a hobby you enjoy or someone you think needs a spotlight. Zines platform marginalised voices and can spread activism in a creative and original way.
