The Peasants* tells the story of Jagna, a young woman determined to forge her own path within the confines of a late 19th century Polish village – a hotbed of gossip and on-going feuds, held together, rich and poor, by pride in their land, adherence to colourful traditions and a deep-rooted patriarchy.
Your ticket includes a welcome drink, delicious food prepared by Bar Mleczny, green screen photography and access to the museum’s two exhibition floors prior to the movie screening. Doors open at 6.30pm and food will be served between 6.30pm and 8pm. The bar will remain open for the duration of the event. The film will begin at 8pm. *original Polish version with British subtitles
