This fun and creative day will teach you how to create your own beautiful mosaic from start to finish
Join Aimee Harman for a Mosaic Workshop this October
Aimee will provide guidance and instructions in a relaxed and easy manner, ensuring you learn valuable techniques that can be applied to future mosaic projects with confidence. The workshop takes place in a stunning Roman location at Brading surrounded by inspiring Roman mosaics
During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to create two projects: a Roman themed coaster measuring 7x7cm, and a 6inch x 6 inch wall hanging. The wall hanging consists of a ceramic tile with a wooden cut out in the shape of a bird or butterfly. You will hand paint the cut out using the best art acrylic paint pens and create a mosaic of cherry blossom relief as the background. (See photo ) The wall hanging also includes an optional mirror and a ring attachment for easy display. The Roman themed coaster allows you to practice cutting techniques before moving on to larger projects. It will be grouted at the end of the session.
Tea and coffee will be provided, and the Forum Cafe is next door if you wish to buy lunch . The workshop will last for 4 hours, giving you ample time to immerse yourself in the world of mosaics and learn from Aimee's extensive experience.
