Explore the exciting potential of screen printing onto glass using traditional glass paints and enamels!
The award winning guest instructor James Cockerill of HALTglass (UK) will share his knowledge and skills to teach you how to screen print onto glass in this intensive 2-day hands-on workshop.
You will build up layers of print to create stunning double-sided works of art using glass paints and enamels. James will work with you even before the workshop begins to bring four images of your work onto pre-prepared screens up to A5 (14,8 x 21 cm) in size each. You will also have access to his large selection of pre-prepared screens with stock images to use. During the workshop you will print your designs onto float glass which are then ready to be fired in a kiln.
No previous glass or print experience is required! Workshop includes: • Group and individual instruction • Essential materials, tools, and mediums
The course will feature demonstrations on using Photoshop to prepare images along with advice on how to integrate screen printing into your creative practice. Maximum 8 persons. Instruction will be in English.
James Cockerill, a Fine Art graduate and the founder of HALTglass, is a recipient of the prestigious Stevens Architectural Glass Artist of the Year Award.
