Please join us as we announce the winners of the Prototype Prize a new prize for writers and artists working at the intersections of literary and artistic forms. This party in the South London Gallery’s Orozco garden and Clore Studio will include free drinks, music, a book table, and an introduction to the shortlisted writers.
The 2024 prize has been judged by Bhanu Kapil, Tom McCarthy, and Elizabeth Price. The prize awards categories of book-length and short-form projects, with publication by Prototype and by Monitor respectively, and both winners will have an excerpt of their work published by frieze.
See here for the full shortlist.
The prize has been made possible by the support of Shane Akeroyd, Sadie Coles and Emmanuel Roman, and by public funding from Arts Council England, plus creative partnerships with frieze magazine and the South London Gallery. Thanks to Track Brewing Co for providing beers for this event.
