This curator-led tour by Dr Sarah Burnage will allow you to discover the long and fascinating history and conservation journey of Fairfax House from 1760 to the present day.
You'll step behind the scenes, getting to see the nooks and crannies normally hidden from public view.
As part of the tour, you will also get the unique opportunity to see some of the treasures not normally on display, and see priceless pieces of furniture opened up to reveal their secret uses and sumptuous interiors.

This is a unique and hands-on experience perfect for all historic house fans! The tour will take between 1.5 and 2 hours.
Please note that this tour will involve five flights of stairs, and some of the staircases are quite tight. Unfortunately, this tour is not suitable for children under the age of 16.

Opening times
Fairfax House is open 10am - 4pm Saturday - Thursday (last admission 3.30pm) for general admissions.
We run guided tours only on Fridays at 10am, 12pm and 2pm.
