Join us at the Armitt Museum for a talk on Robert Southey's Keswick with Dr Charlotte May.

The Poet Laureate Robert Southey was a bestselling poet of the Romantic period, known for his epic poetry, critical reviews, and biographies and histories of famous individuals and events. He lived in Keswick with his family for forty years and was an important part of the town’s community. In this talk, Dr Charlotte May, Trustee of Keswick Museum, will explore what Southey’s literary legacy means for Keswick, and how Keswick Museum is commemorating the life and works of this important writer.
