Guided by The Tatreez Collective, learn the art of Palestinian embroidery and create your own unique designs on clothing and homeware, across three consecutive workshops:

Saturday 15 June, 10:30am - 12:30pm

Explore the intriguing history of Palestinian embroidery and get familiar with a set of basic stitches.

Saturday 22June, 10:30am - 12:30pm

Dive into the world of Palestinian patterns and colours, designing your very own pattern.

Saturday 29 June, 10:30am - 12:30pm

All about stitching, and bringing your own unique embroidery pattern to life.

Useful information

  • All levels of ability and experience are welcome.

  • The course should be booked in full and individual sessions are not available.

  • The workshops will take place in the dedicated Learning Centre at Leighton House.

  • After the workshops, participants will also have access to the exhibition galleries and historic house.

  • Ticket price includes all materials and equipment, and take home your creations.

  • Refreshments are included - delicious Palestinian teas and sweets.

In October 2022 Leighton House completed a major redevelopment that has provided the museum with improved visitor facilities, additional exhibition space, a dedicated learning centre and a brand new cafe overlooking the garden, all located in a new wing which also houses a welcoming reception area and shop.
