Participants will learn how to make paint from natural materials while learning about the geology and history of the local area.
Artist Pete Ward will be a running a pigment making workshop, exploring natural, locally found, earth pigments and our relationship with the environment around us.
Participants will learn how to make paint from natural materials while learning about the geology and history of the local area.
Participants will make individual paintings to take away, and participate in a group painting that will be displayed in Torre Abbey’s Learning Lab.
This workshop has been designed to allow those attending an opportunity to explore and experiment with natural and locally found earth pigments, giving an experience which will bring insights into the origins of pigments and paint while exploring a deeper relationship with our environment.
