Come and have a go at the beautiful art of silk painting in our children's workshop.
An interactive session in the gallery exploring our stunning stained glass, looking out for bugs, birds and butterflies. Participants will have the opportunity to look closely at the panels and share their views on the subject matter and techniques used. There will also be time to make sketches of their favourite pieces.
The participants will then work in the studio and be shown how to paint one of the pre-guttered woodland silks (10 cm x 15cm) using a range of silk paints, mixing the colours that they would like. They will be able to take the finished piece home on the day to frame or make into a card.
