Special Event

Late May Steaming Weekend

26 - 27 May 2024
10:30 to 16:30
£10.75

See the 1812 Boulton and Watt and 1846 Harvey of Hayle beam engines in steam again for another year.

Crofton Beam Engines is a rare survivor of the Industrial Revolution and houses the oldest working Beam Engine in the world, still in its original location and still capable of carrying out its original task - pumping water to the summit level of the Kennet and Avon Canal.

So step back in time to when steam ruled all and explore this hidden gem in Wiltshire's history.
