In partnership with The Barakat Trust and as part of London Craft Week, this stitching workshop will introduce the patterns and techniques of Yemeni embroidery, traditionally used to embellish costumes.
Join Nouria Nagi, OBE (founder of Yemen Noor Foundation for Education and Relief) as she will show participants an example of a beautiful traditional Yemeni embroidered dress to inspire their stitching. Nouria is currently leading a project to revive this vanishing art form whilst empowering Yemeni women artisans.

All levels of ability and experience are welcome.
The workshop will take place in the dedicated Learning Centre at Leighton House.
After the workshop, participants will also have access to the museum and historic house.

In October 2022 Leighton House completed a major redevelopment that has provided the museum with improved visitor facilities, additional exhibition space, a dedicated learning centre and a brand new cafe overlooking the garden, all located in a new wing which also houses a welcoming reception area and shop.
