Shoreline Ramble for Orkney Nature Festival

16 May 2024
10:00
£10

Join our Climate Change Exhibitions & Outreach Officer Katy for a behind-the-scenes look at our natural history collection, followed by a walk around the shore in Stromness.

Stromness Museum's natural history collection is a treasure trove, housing many wonders donated by past curators, naturalists and enthusiasts. For this ramble we will focus on flora and fauna which live on and around the coastline of Stromness.

The ramble begins in the museum with a brief look at some of the research collection. We then head around to the Point of Ness, stopping along the way to look at various places of natural history interest.
