We’re starting a youth programme and want to hear from you! Come along to our first young people’s social to meet other local creatives and have your say in what you want this space to look and feel like – featuring a DIY zine making workshop and free food and drink!

The Nunnery Gallery at Bow Arts is starting a new creative programme for young people aged between 18-24, living in Tower Hamlets and Newham. We want it to be a space made by and for local young people, so are inviting folks aged roughly 18-24 to come down and join us for our very first young people’s social - a chill, low stakes event for you to share your ideas and thoughts on what you want this youth programme to look like.

As well as plenty of open time to meet and connect with others, we’ll have a hands-on DIY zine making workshop led by artist Lily Ash Sakula. They will provide prompts and questions to get everyone thinking about the kinds of things you want from the youth programme and collectively dreaming up the shape and form it might take, which you will creatively express through cutting, pasting, and collaging your own zines.

All materials provided and there’ll also be free food and drink to keep us going!

This social is free and open to anyone aged between 18-24 (ish), living in Tower Hamlets or Newham – no previous art experience needed!

This listing is supplied by one of our museum partners and is not moderated by Art Fund.
