This Christmas at Waddesdon, enjoy a festive day out to brighten the end of your year. Be spirited away to a magical wonderland as classic tales come to life in the house, and dazzling new light displays outside enchant and delight.
This year, enter a fantastical wonderland inside the house with new, themed displays inspired by three classic tales. Follow a longer route through the Manor’s grandest rooms and journey through the pages of Alice in Wonderland, The Snow Queen and Peter Pan reimagined with sparkling installations, immersive soundscapes and mesmerising light displays.
As dusk falls, the Manor’s façade comes to life with spellbinding, animated projections inspired by childhood tales and an enchanting light trail will illuminate the gardens as music fills the air. Find a glowing canopy of orbs, see larger-than-life 3D fairy light birds and walk beneath giant shooting stars. Stop off at the Coach House where artwork created by thousands of school children will be displayed. Inspired by The Lights That Dance in the Night by Yuval Zommer, spot hundreds of wolf and puffin lanterns and look up to see the Aurora Borealis glittering overhead.
Offering a festive shopping experience not to be missed, Waddesdon’s much-loved Christmas Fair will return from 22 Nov – 17 Dec. Foodies can also delight with a dedicated Food Village offering a fabulous selection of takeaway food and drink to enjoy whilst exploring the grounds.
Have yourself an even merrier little Christmas by booking a festive afternoon tea in the Manor Restaurant with treats including brie and cranberry tarts, mince pie macarons and more!
