How many species of UK bee are there? How long are their tongues to reach their nectar? Join our interactive workshop where children will learn about Leighton House as part of the Bee Super Highway and build their own bee hotel.

Bees are so important as pollinators for our food crops and other plants. But do you know how many species of UK bee there are, or how long their tongues are to reach their favourite nectar?

Come along to this interactive Family Fun workshop and discover so much more. Also find out about Leighton House as part of the Bee Super Highway, and build your own bee hotel to help the bees.

  • Workshops suitable for children aged 5-11yrs

  • Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer during the workshop (please note, workshops are not drop-off)

  • Accompanying adults (max. 2 adults per child) come for free and admission to the historic house is included

  • The workshops will take place in the newly opened Learning Centre at Leighton House and the garden.

  • All materials included
