Join crochet teacher Sam Linney from the team at Wool on the Exe to create your own crochet wool ’tile’, inspired by RAMM’s Sublime Symmetry exhibition.
Sublime Symmetry celebrates the work of William De Morgan (1839-1917) who was undoubtedly the most intriguing and inventive ceramic designer of the late Victorian period. He is known for his dedication to exploring Middle Eastern design and his wonderful patterns.
Sam will guide you on a creative journey using colours and style taken from De Morgan’s work. This session is for those with an intermediate/advanced level of crocheting experience. You will need to be comfortable with working in the round and slip, double, half treble, treble and double treble crochet stitches.
All materials will be supplied on the day.
Refreshments will be provided. Please bring a snack if you wish, as there will be a short break during the workshop.
The more you see, the more we do.
The National Art Pass lets you enjoy free entry to hundreds of museums, galleries and historic places across the UK, while raising money to support them.
