Go wild at Weoley Castle Ruins for our amazing Earth Day event.
We’re joining The Wild Escape to celebrate Earth Day 2023 in our wonderful green space. Home to foxes, badgers, buzzards and squirrels, the ruins are a perfect site for urban nature.
Drop-in to various activities throughout the day:
Join ZooLab to get up close and hands-on with some real live animals as we talk all about our changing planet and the challenges facing nature. Meet the likes of snakes, tarantulas and giant snails in this exciting encounter session that hopes to 'Amaze, Educate and Inspire' all ages. Shows available throughout the day on a first-come-first-served basis.
Collect a bug pot and explore the site recording your finds.
Make your own clay tile inspired by the wildlife at the site.
Make an earth seed bomb with Wild Earth Movement.
Event Information
This event is free, no booking required. Access to the event is first come first served from 11.00am-4.00pm and you can stay as long as you like within this period.
Suitable for adults and families. This event takes place outdoors and on uneven ground, so suitable footwear and clothing is advised. Please note there are toilets facilities on site but no café.
Part of this event is delivered by Zoolab, an Ethical Handling company that ensures all animal welfare is maintained to the highest standards.
