Join Stourbridge Glass Museum and Canal & River Trust for a unique family arts and craft activity & canal walk.
Our event, made possible by the generous support of Canal and River Trust, is a free event for families and includes free museum entry for each child participant and up to two accompanying adults. This activity is suitable for children aged 5years and over. Please note that spaces are limited, so book your space now to avoid disappointment.
During the event, we will be hosting a family crafting activity inspired by the beautiful collection of Amalric Walter Art Nouveau glass in the upper gallery of the museum. These wonderful life-like glass animals will be the starting point of our project. Together, we will create a replica of one of these animals and then, in a canal-side walk, follow the journey of the animal to its natural habitat along the canal. The activity is 40 minutes and the canal walk is around 40 minutes, though you are welcome to continue for as long as you like.
Be part of The Wild Escape, a nationwide celebration of UK nature inspired by the wildlife found in museum and galleries. The Wild Escape is made possible with support from Arts Council England’s National Lottery Project Grants, with additional support from Bloomberg Philanthropies, Kusuma Trust, Foyle Foundation and a group of generous individuals and trusts.
