You can make a difference alongside John Bellany RA

Artist John Bellany RA was a great supporter of Curwen. He was a prolific painter and printmaker and created a series of lithograph prints at Curwen which commemorated the Eyemouth disaster of 1881 when a severe storm struck the southern coast of Scotland and nearly 200 fishermen lost their lives.

We have been donated a selection of prints by John Bellany RA which feature several scenes from the Eyemouth Series. Each edition only had 50 prints and we have limited availability of each to offer as a reward to donors. These are featured in the Curwen Archive.

John's widow, Helen Bellany, has offered her support for our fundraising campaign and said "John always enjoyed the times he spent at Curwen and had great admiration for Stanley Jones, and all of the wonderful people, and the many fine artists who made the opportunity to work at the presses of Curwen such a privilege and pleasure".

Please support Curwen and John by donating to get a John Bellany print now. You will support a legacy for future generations to enjoy. Thank you.
