New Art Happens campaign launched: Help transform Arnolfini into a living, breathing textile studio

5 Apr 2023

Arnolfini is Bristol's International Centre for Contemporary Arts located on the harbour-side in the heart of the city. Woven into the fabric of Bristol since 1961, Arnolfini is an international centre of interdisciplinary contemporary arts, presenting an ambitious and wide-ranging programme of visual art, performance, dance, film, and music.

This summer, Arnolfini are working with renowned textile artist Alice Kettle to create an inspiring exhibition: "Threads", featuring work by 21 international artists who work with textiles.

They need to raise £20,000 to deliver an ambitious engagement programme, to bring "Threads" to life for as many members of the community as possible, and to celebrate textiles as an art form that can create important connections across cultures.

Please support Arnolfini's first-ever Crowdfunder in its sixty-year history. As a thank you for your support, you'll be able to choose from exclusive and limited edition rewards, including artworks, studio visits, and more.

Five reasons to help

1. Transform Arnolfini into a collaborative open textile studio, including building a gigantic weaving machine, open for everyone.

2. Create a new community of makers and bring thousands of people together to find common threads.
